WHO WE ARE

We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.

What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, across every community determined to defend democracy. 

Now we shift our attention to the heart of Democracy – the Vote. 

October 17th is the first day of Early Voting in Washoe County, bringing people to the polls to Vote Early! No Kings: Vote Early will bring people together to learn about their voting options, make a plan to vote, and help ensure every eligible voter has the information they need to participate.

Join Indivisible Northern NV, Our Center, ACLU Nevada, 50501 NNV, Biggest Little Action Group Reno, Sierra Club Toiyabe Chapter, Northern NV Central Labor Council, International Brotherhood of Teamsters 533 and PLAN (Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada) for a march to Wingfield Park where we will celebrate Democracy together.

What It’s About

For more than a year, millions of people have participated in No Kings events across the country. This event takes the next step by focusing on voter participation.

Our measure of success will be the largest voter turnout for Early Voting in the history of the country. 

Our purpose is to let those who would try to compromise our ability to vote know that their illegal attempts will not be successful. We will assert our franchise in such numbers as to be undeniable.

FAQs

    • Riverside Dr. will be closed from 8 AM to 12 noon, from Keystone Overpass to Ralston St.

      It will reopen once the march has passed through.

    • W 1st St. will be closed from 8 AM to 5 PM, from Ralston St. to Arlington Ave.

    • Arlington Ave. will be closed from 8 AM to 5 PM from W 1st St. to Island Ave.

  • Street parking is available around the area, as well as at the county parking lot between Virginia and Sierra Streets (adjacent to Nevada State Bank) and at Court Street to the north. 

    Additionally, there are two parking garages on E. First Street, directly across from City Plaza/the Believe sign.

    Closer to the march starting point Reno High School and the Federal Building on Booth St may be useful.

  • No public restrooms are available along the route, but Sani-t-Huts will be available at Wingfield Park

  • REMSA will be on site. If you or anyone you are with has a medical emergency, please dial 9-1-1. 

  • Thank you for joining us. You’re welcome to march with us or to just join us for the rally at Wingfield Park. We will have an ADA area set up near the stage to accommodate wheelchairs and others who may need it.
